The VERSE Toolkit provides a standardized approach for assessing and tracking vaccine coverage inequities and their economic impact. Unlike traditional analyses that examine a single factor such as wealth, VERSE accounts for multiple influences—like geography, child sex, and maternal education—to identify which factors most strongly drive inequity. It helps users compare vaccine coverage and equity levels, quantify the economic costs of unfair disparities, and evaluate tradeoffs between equity and efficiency. Designed for policymakers, researchers, and advocates, VERSE supports evidence-based decision-making, sustainable immunization financing, and targeted strategies to reduce inequity in countries such as Bangladesh, India, Nigeria, and Uganda.
