The Knowledge Translation (KT) for Zero-Dose Immunization Research Toolkit is a practical guide designed to help researchers, implementers, and policymakers turn evidence into action. In this toolkit, KT is defined as a systematic process of moving research findings into practical application so that knowledge is effectively communicated, adopted, and used, ultimately turning research findings into action, results, and measurable change.
Developed by the Zero-Dose Learning Hub for Country Learning Hubs in Bangladesh, Mali, Nigeria, and Uganda, the toolkit provides a step-by-step process for planning and implementing KT, from identifying audiences and shaping key messages to selecting the right channels, co-creating products, and evaluating outcomes across the full KT continuum (dissemination, transmission, acquisition, application, and impact).
The toolkit equips users with guiding questions, templates, recommended approaches, and practical examples tailored to zero-dose and under-immunized contexts. By supporting more effective packaging, communication, and uptake of research findings, it helps close the know-do gap and strengthens the use of evidence to inform policies, programs, and day-to-day immunization practice.
Explore the visual, interactive toolkit or download the PDF for offline reference to learn how to design KT strategies that improve evidence use, enhance stakeholder engagement, and drive real-world improvements for zero-dose children and missed communities.
This toolkit is also available in French: Application des connaissances pour la recherche sur la vaccination zéro-dose.
