Chad's child immunization rates have increased steadily in recent years, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The country's success is likely due to several factors, including investments by the government and partners in health systems strengthening, particularly in human resources, transportation, cold chain, and vaccine supply. These efforts have focused on underserved, often remote areas where child immunization coverage is lowest. This success offers key learnings for other countries working to increase childhood immunization rates, including the the impact of health systems strengthening, which has the potential to improve broader health services beyond routine child immunization.
