This conceptual framework captures strategies for reaching zero-dose children including gender intentional strategies, service integration and data use, strategies to reach busy caretakers as well as coordination to reach conflict-affected communities. It also emphasizes the importance of reliable funding and dedicated health staff.
The Geneva Learning Foundation (TGLF) hosted the first Zero-Dose Learning Hub (ZDLH) peer learning exchange, ZDLH-X1, in May 2023 focused on Bangladesh and Mali. The second online peer learning exchange (ZDLH-X2) in September 2023 focused on Nigeria and Uganda. The experiences shared through the post-evaluation questionnaire provided additional insights into IRMMA’s “reach” category. This framework, outlined in From Exchange to Action: Summary Report of Gavi Zero-Dose Learning Hub Inter-country Peer Exchanges, captures and organizes experiences shared through the in-depth case studies on local zero-dose challenges, practices, and priorities. It represents insights from ZDLH-X1 and ZDLH-X2 participants, with examples drawn predominantly but not exclusively, from CLH countries.
